The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations will conduct an accreditation survey of Middlesex Hospital on April 25 through April 29, 2005.

The Pregnancy and Birth Center at Middlesex Hospital has been designated as "Baby-Friendly" by Baby-Friendly USA. The Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative recognizes hospitals that provide an optimal level of care and information for breastfeeding moms.

Middlesex Hospital has been named one of the top 100 hospitals in the United States, according to the Solucient 100 Top Hospitals®: National Benchmarks for Success, 12th Edition study.

This spring, physicians at Middlesex Hospital will begin a Medicare pilot project, in which they can be rewarded for coordinating services to patients that keep them healthier.

Although it just opened its doors to a brand-new facility last April, the Middlesex Hospital Marlborough Medical Center has already added some new technology to its list of offerings.

Latest Open MRI Technology Introduced

A brand new, ultra-short bore MRI has been installed at Middlesex Hospital’s Outpatient Center on Saybrook Road in Middletown. The powerful diagnostic tool is open on both ends, providing added comfort to patients.

The Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center has entered into an agreement with Dana-Farber/Partners CancerCare (the adult oncology collaboration among Massachusetts General Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women’s Hospital) to make their clinical trials available to patients here in Connecticut.

Why would a medical center that has consistently garnered the highest ratings for patient satisfaction, begin a comprehensive patient satisfaction campaign?
