Hospice Volunteers
Volunteers are valued and essential members of the Middlesex Health Hospice team. They provide support to patients and families while the patient is in our care as well as offer grief support services to the patient’s loved ones during the bereavement period.
Prior to spending time with patients and families, volunteers complete a mandatory training session consisting of two days of in-person education and six online training modules. The training is completed within two weeks, and additional mentoring is provided to ensure the volunteers are comfortable in their roles.
