New Shoreline Medical Center
We are excited about the plans to build the new Shoreline Medical Center!
The current facility has outgrown itself. There is simply no more room available to add needed services, and existing services are being squeezed because treatment areas cannot accommodate all of the technology that medicine today demands. The plan is to relocate the Center to a site that provides the easiest access for the shoreline communities, is large enough to provide for current services and offers ample room for future expansion.
The new Center will be 40,000 square-feet and will be both an emergency and outpatient facility - double the size of the current program space. And, should we need more space in the future, we have the option to add a second level, increasing program space to 60,000 square feel. The best part is what this will mean for you - an expanded emergency center with and express care area for minor illnesses and injuries, a separate ambulance entrance, a covered drop-off area and improved patient privacy.
In addition, the outpatient center, where patients can access a whole host of diagnostic and treatment services, will have its own entrance and waiting area. Radiology services will expand to include a new MRI testing area and designated women's imaging area. Other offerings include lab services, infusion therapy, neurology diagnostics, pre-surgical testing and chronic care management.
