Survivorship Program
At Middlesex Hospital, our approaches to healing and recovery go far beyond traditional cancer treatment techniques and schedules. Our Survivorship Program is one of the most important building blocks of our comprehensive approach to cancer care—allowing us to treat not just the cancer, but the whole person: body, mind and spirit. Survivorship is now recognized, by the Institute of Medicine, as a distinct and critical phase of cancer care, yet this phase can be one of the most challenging. The Survivoship program helps ensure that our patients continue receiving the care and support they need, even after they’ve made the successful transition from cancer patient to cancer survivor.
Post-treatment/Survivorship Care
Following treatment, survivors often find it challenging to get back to a cancer-free life. The goal of our survivorship program is to provide cancer survivors—along with their families and friends—the support and education they need to make a successful transition to survivorship.
Integrative Medicine
Integrative medicine therapies are not meant to replace traditional treatments, but are instead a complementary form of treatment that focuses on the whole person—mind, body and spirit—by emphasizing healthy diet, exercise, relaxation and emotional well-being. We are proud to offer a wide range of Integrative Medicine, all lead by our expertly-trained, certified specialists—and we’re adding more programs all the time.
