Acupuncture

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is among the oldest practices in the world, dating back more than 5000 years. As part of traditional or classical Chinese medicine, acupuncture aims to restore and maintain health through the stimulation of specific points on the body. The stimulation of these points helps to balance the body’s vital forces or energy (known as Qi). Questioning and observing are tools used by the practitioner  to develop individualized plans, choosing points specific to the person’s symptoms, body condition, and constitution. This ancient practice can help you manage physical symptoms, keep your mental equilibrium, and maintain a healthy immune system.
