How are Hospice/Palliative Care services paid for?

Our fees are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, or direct payment.  In cases of financial need, we will make every effort to adjust payment depending on the services and outside resources.

Can I stay home?

Yes, you have the option to stay home and receive Hospice Home Care.  You also have the option to come to the hospital to receive care to treat symptoms and return home after treatment. 

If I am in the Home Care Program, how will I know when the nurses or home aides will be coming to provide care?  How will I track this?

We provide a calendar that will tell you who and when they will be coming.  The nurses and home aides will keep the calendar up-to-date.  Patients also have the option to refrain from Home Care Services as desired.

Do I have to stop seeing my regular doctors?

No, you will be able to continue to see your doctors to receive treatment from them as needed.
