Inpatient Oncology Unit
The Inpatient Oncology is located on a 14 bed unit with beds dedicated to the care of both medical and surgical oncology patients. Patient care is focused on the patient, in which physical and human resources are placed closer to the patient allowing for expanded responsibilities. The goal of the unit is to provide optimum care and services to patients and their families by focusing nursing care on the individual patient’s needs. The care provided to patients is interdisciplinary. All members of the interdisciplinary team i.e. R.N., Case Manager, Social Worker, Hospital Chaplain, Psychiatry, Physical Rehab, Pharmacy, Nutritionist and Physician must unite to discuss each patient’s physical, psychological and other needs.
