Our Staff

Our registered nurses on the inpatient oncology unit are registered in the State of Connecticut. They are also required to be certified in chemotherapy administration by completing an Oncology Nursing Society didactic course on chemotherapy/biotherapy and a clinical course at Middlesex Hospital. All RN’s are encouraged to become Oncology Certified Nurses.

We are also proud of our nursing staff here at Middlesex Hospital because they have achieved Magnet Recognition by the American Nurses Credentialing Center for the third time.  Middlesex Hospital is the first and only in Connecticut to receive this recognition three times.

The nurses work closely with the interdisciplinary team (i.e. R.N., Case Manager, Social Worker, Hospital Chaplain, Psychiatry, Physical Rehab, Pharmacy, Nutritionist and Physician.
