Our Services

Our Team is Your Team

The C.O.R.E. team includes physical, occupational and speech therapists, an oncologist, oncology nurses, a survivorship specialist and staff from our Cancer Center, all of whom are working to create a treatment plan for your individual needs.

How can you help me?

We offer physical, occupational, speech and language therapy to:

• help prevent weakening or loss of muscle due to bed rest and treatment.

• help improve mobility, balance and strength.

• teach your caregivers how to take care of you at home. It can also include a home safety evaluation and assistance with equipment needs.

• treat swallowing disorders and communication problems.

Do you feel unsteady on your feet?

Do you have problems with your balance? Do you have numbness or tingling in your feet? The C.O.R.E. program can work with you on improving your balance and help you feel more steady on your feet.

Are you short of breath when you walk?

Do you take part in an exercise program? Exercise programs have proven to be one way cancer patients can take some active control over their health during their cancer journey. Exercise programs can serve as a new beginning or help you return to your previous home exercise program or gym workout. We can create programs of exercise to assist you with movement loss, strength and endurance.

Do you feel tired all the time?

Fatigue is one of the most common complaints of patients undergoing treatment for cancer. Along with medical management, exercise has been shown to be an effective way to reduce fatigue. Rehabilitation professionals can teach you how to conserve energy while participating in the activities they enjoy.

Do you have pain?

Managing pain is an important aspect of treatment for many cancer patients. The C.O.R.E. program can assist you in managing daily tasks with less pain.
