Our Staff
The Radiation Oncology Department is accredited by the American College of Radiology. All of our Radiation therapists are board-certified and licensed to practice in the state of Connecticut. Our physicist is certified by the American Board of Radiology. Our dosimetrists are also board certified. Our physicians are board-certified in the physician group of radiation oncologists from Central Connecticut Radiation Oncology PC.

The radiation therapists are responsible for the daily treatment set-up and operation of the equipment that delivers the radiation.
Radiation Oncology Nurses:
- Nancy Ingalls, BSN, RN, OCN
- Lin Coyle, RN, OCN
The radiation oncology nurse specializes in the care of individuals receiving radiation therapy. The nurse works with the physician and radiation therapists to coordinate services. The nurse will provide you with information about your disease, treatment, management of side effects, nutrition, emotional support and hospital and community services.
Secretaries:

The secretaries are available to help with scheduling of any special tests the radiation oncologist may order. They can also direct any questions or concerns related to your therapy to the appropriate people.
Physicist:
Sarah E. Locher, PhD, DABR
The physics team has the overall responsibility for technical aspects of your treatment. The physicist will consult with your physician regarding the prescription for your treatment, supervise the computerized planning of the radiation beams and their placement and work with the other members of the treatment team to make certain that your treatment is as prescribed.
Dosimetrist:
Danette Guay, CMD
The dosimetrist performs manual and computer calculations to customize the radiation treatment you are receiving.
Social Worker:
Doreen Gagnon, MSW
The social worker is able to provide information about individual support and/or counseling, support groups, financial counseling, homecare services. Hospice services, Meals-on-Wheels, Lifeline/Lifecall services, American Cancer Society and transportation.
Registered Dietitian:
Laurie Hatch, RD
The dietitian provides nutritional counseling. This includes assessment, menu planning and education, and follow-up as needed. She is available to answer questions/concerns about nutrition.
