Breast Event
This exciting annual event occurs during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. It is an educational program that focuses on breast health and is open to the community free of charge.
Next year’s event will be held on Thursday October 20, 2011 at the Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station in Haddam, Connecticut.

"Putting a New Face on Breast Health"
On October 7th, 2010 at the Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station in Haddam, CT, the Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center hosted its annual Breast Event. Debbie Wright, local TV and radio celebrity, author, and fashion consultant was the keynote speaker at our event. She discussed the importance of taking the time to spend on making yourself look good in order to feel good. She surprised 5 breast cancer survivors with makeovers including a new outfit donated by Tanger Outlets. Debbie provided fashion advice to each survivor and then presented each survivor’s makeover in a runway fashion at the event. Each survivor was thankful by her transformation and the audience was touched by their stories. The women had a unique and special opportunity to meet with Debbie for a booking signing at the end of the event. We also had a few of our breast cancer survivors speak and tell their touching stories and experiences battling breast cancer. Mini canvas bags with a variety of items were given to each attendee as well! The event was a touching and inspiring event that you don’t want to miss next year!
