What will a Breast Care Nurse Navigator do for you?
“We’re here for you.”
When you speak with a nurse navigator for the first time, you will learn that they will be your “one-stop” resource. Our nurse navigators will take the time to get to know you on a personal level which will help them to identify your needs. In order to meet those needs they can help you access appropriate services and answer your questions. They are available to you through the stages of diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. The relationship between you and your nurse navigator is personal and will vary depending on the level of involvement that you and your family would like to have with them.
For breast patients, the nurse navigator will provide a packet of information related to breast cancer. This packet contains educational materials for your related diagnosis and treatment. The nurse navigator will be able to refer to these materials with you over the phone when discussing your plan of care.
