Prostate Cancer Signs and Symptoms

Early prostate cancer shows no warning signs or symptoms.  However, as the tumor grows, it can begin to cause a variety of symptoms including:

  • Decreased force of urine stream
  • A feeling of not fully emptying your bladder
  • Getting up during the night to urinate
  • Blood in the urine
  • Swelling of the penis, scrotum, legs and feet
  • Difficulty having an erection
  • Pain in the hips, thighs and lower back

It is important to see your doctor if you have any of these symptoms, as many diseases of the male urinary tract have similar symptoms.
