Your Middlesex Hospital Nephrology Team
The Middlesex Hospital Nephrology team provides a full range of diagnostic and treatment services. Included are inpatient and outpatient consultation in nephrology, hypertension, chronic renal failure, acute renal failure, kidney stone disease, and acid-base disorders, and therapies such as hemodialysis, chronic ambulatory peritoneal dialysis, and automated peritoneal dialysis.

David A. Baggish, M.D.
Dr. Baggish is the Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Middlesex Hospital. He is a graduate of Yale University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
Marta Blanco, M.D.
Dr. Blanco earned her medical degree at the University of Santiago de Campostela School of Medicine, in Santiago de Campostela, Spain. She completed her residency at Episcopal Hospital, and a fellowship at Long Island College Hospital. She is Board Certified in Nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
David J. Miner, M.D.
Dr. Miner is the Section Chief of Nephrology, and Vice-President of the Medical Staff. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and ABIM Nephrology. A graduate of St. Louis University School of Medicine, Dr. Miner completed his residency training at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center of NY, and completed a fellowship at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Jeffrey M. Stein, M.D.
Dr. Stein earned his medical degree at Yale University School Medicine. He completed his residency in Medicine and Pediatrics at Strong Memorial Hospital and Rochester General Hospital-University of Rochester in New York, and was a Fellow in Nephrology at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Stein is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, and Board Certified in Nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has a special interest in general clinical nephrology in adults and children.
