Infant massage Class
Sun June 10, 2012 10:30am - 12:00pm. Learn how to use touch to enhance the physical and emotional well being of your baby. Nurturing touch communicates love, respect, safety and acceptance. To register, call 358-6699. Fee $30. [Register]

Breastfeeding Class
Wed July 18, 2012 4:30pm - 6:30pm. Discover the benefits of breastfeeding for mother and baby. How to get started at breast and common concerns of breastfeeding mothers are just a few of the topics discussed by a lactation consultant. Pregnancy & Birth Center Tour
Tue July 10, 2012 7:00pm - 8:00pm. Families are welcome to visit the maternity center via this guided tour offered twice a month. Tours are given on the second Tuesday and third Wednesday of every month at 7 pm. To register, call 860-358-6699. Free [Register]

Family & Friends Pediatric CPR
Wed August 15, 2012 6:45pm - 9:30pm. A 2.5 hour entry level course designed for the general public, parents, babysitters, etc. The course offers guidelines for the one rescuer adult infant/child CPR and Foreign Body Airway Obstruction. Classes held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. To register, call 860-358-6699. $40 per person or $75 per couple. This class will not be eligible for online payment. Grandparents Class
Wed June 06, 2012 6:00pm - 9:00pm. “Babies haven’t changed, but what we know about them has changed”. This fun and informative class teaches grandparents the latest information regarding pregnancy, parenting, breastfeeding and the reasons for putting new babies to sleep on their back. It also covers current trends in maternity practices and infant care and gives grandparents a chance to discuss new ideas about parenting and how they can play an important role. [Register]

Childbirth Preparation Class
Meets weekly on Thursday from 7:00pm - 9:00pm starting 05/24/2012 until 06/21/2012. Learn what to expect during the labor and birth experience. The mechanics of labor and birth as well as tools for coping with the demands of labor are taught in this 5-week series. A 3-week refresher is also available. Classes are held on an on-going basis in Middletown and Essex. To register, call 358-6699. Fee $120 for 5-week series & $70 for 3-week refresher.
