Lactation Consultant

The Pregnancy & Birth Center at Middlesex Hospital is staffed by a dedicated Lactation Consultant, Monday through Friday, and a team nurses who are internationally board certified lactation consultants (IBCLC).  In addition, all of our Pregnancy & Birth Center staff nurses are specially trained to assist new mothers with breastfeeding and to help work through any difficulties they may encounter.

We also recognize that while breastfeeding is best for babies, some mothers and babies will find it challenging. That's why we're also experts in alternate feeding methods. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that mothers leave the hospital confident that they will be able to provide the very best care for their new baby.
