Rebecca Edwards, APRN, DNP, PhD

Rebecca Edwards, APRN, DNP, PhD is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with Middlesex Health's Hospice and Palliative Care Service.

 

Rebecca is certified by the Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center, The American Nurses Credentialing Center, and the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation. She earned her graduate degrees from Yale, the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Rebecca has practiced clinically for over 20 years in oncology and palliative care. She previously led the oncology nurse practitioner program at the Yale School of Nursing. In her current Assistant Professor role, she teaches graduate nurses and leads the palliative care program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham's School of Nursing.

 

Rebecca prides herself on building relationships with patients and caregivers and addressing physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and emotional symptoms holistically and in alignment with patient wishes. 

 

When not at work, Rebecca practices Bikram hot yoga and ballroom dance. She loves animals and has three dogs, two cats, and multiple Koi fish.
