Bio

Howard P. Boey, MD is an otolaryngologist (ear, nose and throat doctor) at Middlesex Health and Southern New England ENT.

Education & Training

Dr. Boey is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology in Head & Neck Surgery. He completed his residency at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary at Harvard Medical School and his internship at Saint Elizabeth's Medical Center. He earned his medical degree at the Tufts University School of Medicine.

Dr. Boey has special training in minimally invasive surgery. He is certified to perform da Vinci® Robot-Assisted Surgery for many conditions of the throat, including throat cancers.

Expert Care

Dr. Boey provides surgical care for patients with many different head and neck conditions. He focuses on treating cancers of the throat and neck, including thyroid cancer. Dr. Boey also performs ear and sinus surgeries using advanced endoscopic techniques. 

Dr. Boey believes in taking a multidisciplinary approach to treating complex conditions. He collaborates with neurosurgeons and plastic surgeons to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

Dr. Boey is a member of numerous professional organizations, including being a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is an active instructor and has served as a professor/clinical instructor at the Frank Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University, the Yale University School of Medicine and the Middlesex Health Family Medicine Residency Program.

Dr. Boey also performs surgery internationally. He has made numerous trips to South America to provide surgical care for children with cleft palate and other facial conditions. 

Dr. Boey has received numerous patient choice awards and has been chosen as a Connecticut Magazine "Top Doctor" many times.
