Visitor Restrictions Due to Flu

Due to the prevalence of the flu in Connecticut, Middlesex Hospital is now limiting visitors to immediate family members or a designated support person. A maximum of two visitors may visit a patient at one time, and all visitors must be at least 18 years of age unless special permission is granted. These restrictions are effective immediately.

Anyone with flu-like symptoms will not be allowed to visit patients at the Hospital. Symptoms can
include fever, vomiting and coughing, diarrhea, body aches and headaches.

Anyone who visits a patient at the Hospital must clean their hands.

Dr. Weissberg is a Senior Attending physician at Middlesex Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology/Therapeutic Radiology and by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Weissberg graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Boston City Hospital and North Carolina Memorial Hospital, and his Radiation Oncology residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He went on to complete a fellowship in Hematology at North Carolina Memorial Hospital.
