Doctoral Internship in Professional Psychology

The doctoral psychology internship is a full-time training and supervised experience which consists of 2,000 hours over twelve months in duration. The program begins in September and extends through August of the following year. Two psychologist interns from clinical or counseling psychology doctoral programs will be selected for each training year. One intern will work with children/adolescents and one intern will work with adults.

Psychologist interns serve the agency in a variety of roles including therapist, consultant, program evaluator, and crisis counselor. Interns will work with culturally diverse, under-served clients suffering from mild to severe psychiatric impairment and a wide range of clinical diagnoses. They will function as part of a multidisciplinary team of professionals including therapists, psychologists, social workers, nurse practitioners, and psychiatrists. Interns will also collaborate with providers and other systems within the community to coordinate patient care. The program director is Marlene Baldizon, Ph.D.,
