Tai Chi For Cancer Survivors

Studies have shown that tai chi improves quality of life, balance, agility, flexibility and muscle tone in cancer survivors. It may also help reduce fatigue, anxiety, depression and stress. Safe for all fitness levels.

About This Class

Described as meditation in motion, tai chi is a series of gentle physical exercises and stretches.  The Ocean of Light Program is a holistic approach to well-being. It is centered around a simple form of tai chi that incorporates movement, meditation, and discussion.  This class is safe for cancer survivors at all stages of treatment and regardless of fitness level.

What to Bring

Please bring a water bottle to each class. Be sure to dress in comfortable clothes.

Medical Clearance

Participants must be medically cleared by a physician to participate in a tai chi class. You do not need to provide a note - just have a conversation with your doctor before attending the class.

Attendance, Registration, and Payment

This class is open to all cancer survivors. Attendance is free. No registration is required.
