MIDDLETOWN

The Middlesex Hospital Emergency Department in Middletown is currently closed and will remain closed until further notice. We hope to open it again as soon as possible.

Non-emergent surgeries are canceled for tomorrow, Friday, February 23.

All outpatient radiology tests are canceled at the Hospital in Middletown tomorrow, Friday, February 23.

Patients can get lab tests at the Outpatient Center, 534 Saybrook Road in Middletown; at the Marlborough Medical Center in Marlborough; or at the Shoreline Medical Center in Westbrook. However, they should not come to the Hospital.

Visitors are currently not allowed to visit patients at the Hospital, except for special circumstances.

MIDDLETOWN

All patients and staff at Middlesex Hospital are all accounted for and safe.

  • All Outpatient Services at the Hospital in Middletown have been suspended until further notice.
  • The Emergency Department in Middletown is closed until further notice.

Employees are to report for their regularly scheduled shifts.

 

All other Middlesex Health System locations are operating on regular schedules.

Breast Center Events & Outreach

The Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center hosts a variety of events to bring together patients, families, loved ones, and other community members who are connected by their experiences with cancer. We also offer a variety of seminars and classes to promote health and wellbeing.

Many of these are free of charge, while others have a fee. Check our calendar for a full listing of upcoming special events, regular meeting, and other outreach offerings.

Health and Fitness

From alleviating pain and anxiety to reducing the risk of recurrence, there are many proven benefits of regular exercise and stress-reducing practices for cancer patients and survivors. Patients, families, and community members can choose from a variety of traditional and alternative fitness and group therapeutic classes, many of which are offered through our innovative Center for Survivorship and Integrative Medicine

Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month Event

This exciting annual event occurs every year during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.  It is an educational program focused on breast health and is open to the community, free of charge.

Prevention Day

Promoting healthy living through prevention, Middlesex Hospital hosts this exciting event every year to help you learn what you can do to prevent cancer.  Prevention Day is free of charge and open to the public.

Survivor’s Day

Survivor’s Day is a “celebration of life” where cancer survivors’ gather for a fun-filled day of musical entertainment, a keynote speaker, face painting, survivor photos, and much more.  It is an annually held, themed event that is free and open to all cancer survivors and their family members.
