Patient Resource Library
Welcome to the Patient Resource Library (PRL) at the Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center. We are dedicated to meeting the information needs of people who want to learn more about cancer, treatment, and survivorship. All of our services are free of charge and open to the community.
The Patient Resource Library’s goal is to promote a healthy society as well as assist the individual in making informed health decisions. By providing accurate, up-to-date health and medical information, the Patient Resource Library helps to empower people to communicate more effectively with healthcare providers and actively participate in the healthcare process.

Meet Our Librarian -
Janis Leird, MLS, our medical librarian, will help you find cancer information. She can help you select a useful book or CD to borrow from the library or teach you how to use reliable, internet websites. You can also ask the librarian to find the information you need. She will be happy to provide you with a packet of information that is confidential and prepared just for you.
-
Have a question? Ask our Librarian!
- Please use this form to ask the
librarian a cancer-related question. Print out the form and bring it with you when you visit the librarian or attach it to an email and send to cancer_center_library@midhosp.org. Include any information that will help the
librarian find exactly what you need. Please remember that the librarian can
give you information to think about and discuss with your doctor. This
information is not meant to take the place of your doctor’s advice.
