Your Internal Medicine Team

All of our Internal Medicine physicians are board-certified, many with other specialties and special interests. The individual staffs are experienced, knowledgeable caregivers and will do all they can to make your visit comfortable and informative.

The Internal Medicine physicians of our Family Practice Group and Middlesex Hospital Primary Care see patients of all ages, and many of those patients are patients for life.

Dr. Baggish is the Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Middlesex Hospital. He is a graduate of Yale University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Dr. Belin is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Rheumatology. Dr. Belin is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and completed his residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center.

Dr. Christensen is a member of Shoreline Medical Associates. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Christensen graduated from Yale University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She specializes in Internal Medicine, Adult Health Care.

Dr. Dixon is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr. Dixon completed his internship at University Hospitals of Cleveland and Miriam Hospital. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Brown University.

Dr. Fales is a Senior Attending member of the Medical Staff at Middlesex Hospital. A graduate of Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Dr. Fales completed his internship at University of Maryland School of Medicine and his residency at New Britain General Hospital. He has special interest in high altitude medicine.

Dr. Franco is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. After graduating from Georgetown University Medical Center, Dr. Franco completed his internship at University of Connecticut Health Center, and his residency at St. Mary's Hospital.

Noushin Haddad-Tehrani, M.D.

Noushin Haddad-Tehrani, M.D.
Dr. Haddad-Tehrani received her degree from the University of Paris XIII. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine, as well as a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at LA County & University of Southern California Medical Center. Dr. Haddad-Tehrani is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Her special interests are in Geriatric Medicine.

Dr. Hornbake is an Active/Senior Attending physician at Middlesex Hospital and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Hornbake provides comprehensive medical care for older adults, and even makes house calls.

Dr. Huded is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and in the ABIM subspecialty of Gastroenterology. He received his medical degree from Karnatak Medical College in India, and completed a rotating internship at St. John Hospital. He went on to complete both his Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship training at Jewish Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Huded has a special interest in liver diseases, colon polyps and cancer.

Dr. Huded graduated from St. John Medical College in India, and completed her residency at Brooklyn-Cumberland Hospital and Medical Center. In addition, she completed a fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine at Mount Sinai Services-City Hospital of Elmhurst. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and in the ABIM subspecialty of Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Huded has a special interest in asthma, emphysema, and women's health.

A graduate of Albany Medical College, Dr. Montano completed his residency at St. Francis Hospital. He has special interest in depression and anxiety disorders, as well as bariatric medicine.

A graduate of Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, she completed her residency training at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. Schaffner has special interest in women's health.

Dr. Winokur graduated from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara and completed his residency at Oakwood Hospital, in Dearborn, Michigan. Dr. Winokur has specialized training in Pulmonary Medicine, and he has special interest in asthma, emphysema, and interstitial lung disease. He is a Senior Attending member of the Active Medical Staff of Middlesex Hospital.
