Meet Our Physicians

Sleep Medicine

Ashish Adlakha, MD
Dr. Adlakha is medical director of the Middlesex Hospital Sleep Center. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in neurology and sleep medicine. He’s also certified by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the American Board of Pain Medicine.

Dr. Adlakha earned his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College. He completed his internal medicine internship at St. Francis Hospital in Illinois and his neurology residency at Tufts University and New England Medical Center, where he extensively training in electromyography. He completed his sleep medicine fellowship at JFK Medical Center in New Jersey.

Dr. Adlakha can provide a variety of services, including electromyography and nerve conduction studies, Botox injections for chronic migraines and medical acupuncture. He also teaches medical residents.

Mark A. D’Agostino, MD
Dr. D’Agostino is section chief of Middlesex Hospital Otolaryngology. He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology in sleep medicine and is affiliated with Southern New England Ear, Nose & Throat Group.

Dr. D’Agostino earned his medical degree from Chicago Medical School. He competed his residency at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University and is one of a handful of surgeons in the country who pioneer new surgical treatment for severe obstructive sleep apnea.

Deirdre Pagan
Deirdre is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) affiliated with Middlesex Hospital MultiSpecialty Group and Middlesex Hospital Urgent Care.

She is certified as an APRN by the American Nurse Credentialing Center.

Deirdre earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Herbert Lehman College and her master’s degree in nursing from the College of Mount St. Vincent. She specializes in sleep medicine and gastrointestinal medicine.

Margaret E. Woznica, MD
Dr. Woznica specializes in critical care medicine, pulmonary medicine and sleep medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in all three specialties.

Dr. Woznica went to medical school at Wroclaw Medical University in Poland. She completed her residency at Mount Sinai Hospital and her fellowship at the UConn Health Center.
